Gold Finch Designs is a female-powered company based in Oakland, California, serving the East Bay and San Francisco. We offer full-service landscaping and gardening, as well as floral arrangements for any setting! Using only organic and sustainable agricultural practices, we work with our clients to maximize their growing space, edible production, and bio-diversity in their gardens. We specialize in bringing beautiful, year-round gardens to life, and we are equipped to perform all of the design, demolition, hardscaping, installation, planting, irrigation, and ongoing care.
Founder, Alexis Mastromichalis, holds a Masters of Science in Sustainable Agriculture from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Crete, Greece. She holds a BA in International Affairs from George Washington University. She has been teaching garden classes at the Tarea Pittman Hall Berkeley Tool Lending Library since 2018. She spends her free time learning languages, garden coaching and cooking healthy food from scratch.
